Is it up? Is it healthy? Find out in seconds.
Free website health check
Test any public website for uptime, response time, HTTPS certificate expiry, redirects and security headers. Better you find the problem than your customers.
No mystery scores
What the website health check tests
Ten plain checks, each with its own published rule. No composite score or letter grade — just what passed, what didn't, and why it matters.
- 01
Site responds over HTTPS
Pass on HTTP 2xx or 3xx. A 4xx or 5xx fails.
- 02
Server response time
Time to first byte: good ≤ 800 ms, warning up to 1800 ms, fail above that.
- 03
HTTPS certificate expiry
Warning under 30 days left, fail under 14 days.
- 04
Redirect chain
Pass with 2 redirects or fewer.
- 05
Strict-Transport-Security (HSTS)
Pass when the header is present.
- 06
Content-Security-Policy
Pass when the header is present.
- 07
X-Content-Type-Options
Pass when set to nosniff.
- 08
Clickjacking protection
Pass with X-Frame-Options or a CSP frame-ancestors rule.
- 09
Referrer-Policy
Pass when the header is present.
- 10
Software version disclosure
Warning when Server or X-Powered-By headers reveal version numbers.
Response time is one sample from our region, so it can vary between runs.
Safe by default
How the health checker stays safe
One bounded, read-only request to the address you enter. We don't store the result.
Public HTTPS only
Private, internal and cloud-metadata addresses are blocked, and every redirect is re-checked.
No cookies, no logins
The checker never sends cookies or auth headers, and it discards the page body.
10-second cap
Each check has a hard time limit and follows at most five redirects.
Rate limited
Limits per visitor, per site and overall keep the tool from being used to hammer anyone.
Snapshot vs. monitoring
A health check is a photo. Monitoring is the whole movie.
This tool tells you how your site looks right now. Things break at 2 a.m., mid-launch, or the day a certificate quietly expires. Continuous uptime monitoring checks again and again, and tells you when something changes.
Pulse runs these HTTPS checks every five minutes on the pilot plan, opens an incident after repeated failures, and alerts you within minutes. Read the health check guide or browse the monitoring FAQ.
