Team roles and permissions

What owners, admins, developers, viewers and client users can do in Pulse.

Updated

Every person in Pulse has a role at a specific scope: the whole workspace, one client organization, or one project. The database enforces these rules, not just the screens.

Workspace roles

  • Owner: everything, including billing and ownership transfer. A workspace always keeps at least one owner.
  • Admin: manages team, clients and projects. No billing changes or ownership transfer.
  • Developer: technical views, monitors and connections. Can acknowledge incidents. No billing or team management.
  • Viewer: read-only access to dashboards and reports.

Client and project roles

  • Client owner: sees one client organization, acknowledges issues, manages its notifications, and invites client users into that organization only.
  • Client developer: technical evidence and project monitoring within their organization.
  • Project viewer: only the specific projects they're granted.

Changing roles

Owners and admins change workspace roles from the Team page. Only owners can grant or remove ownership, and removing access takes effect immediately.
